Details 

Pintxo Tasting Tour - Essential for your first night in town, we guide you to the best pintxos bars, giving you the inside track to the best food and wine, pairing pintxos with Spanish wines. Get your taste buds ready for sizzling grilled prawns, seared foie gras, guindilla peppers, mini sirloin steak, wild mushrooms and much more!  You will also immerse in Spanish wines, tasting refreshing Txakoli, Rueda white plus Rioja and Ribera del Duero red wines in each bar.  

Ciderhouse Evening –  Packed with atmosphere, cider houses are one of the hidden dining gems of the Basque country, serving a menu of chorizo cooked in cider, salt-cod omelette, fresh cod fried with peppers, char-grilled T-bone steaks, walnuts and Idiazábal sheep's cheese all enjoyed with cider which you catch in your glass as it pours out from 25,000 litre chestnut barrels!  

Rekondo Wine Tasting & Rekondo lunch or dinner – Witness the pinnacle of private wine collections. From vertical collections of Mouton Rothschild from 1935 to a treasure trove of Chateau D'yquem, we introduce you to the Rekondo wine collection in this behind-the-scenes experience.  You will be guided by Martín, Rekondo restaurant's sommelier and our own expert wine guide. The second half of the evening is dedicated to a wine tasting in the private cellars.  You are then shown to the dining room as special guests for a feast of traditional basque dishes.  (note, groups of 12+ can dine in the wine cellars!).

This Three-Day Food & Wine Experience starts on Fridays and is available every weekend in 2012 (subject to availability).

Day 1 – Friday - Pintxo (tapas) Tasting Tour (18.30 – 20.30)
Day 2 – Saturday – Ciderhouse evening (20.30 – 23.30)
Day 3 – Sunday – Rekondo wine tasting & Lunch/dinner (12.00 or 18.45)

€335 per person (based on 4 guests)
€325 per person (based on 6 guests)
€320 per person (based on 8+ guests)

The small print

We require a minimum of 4 guests for this tour. Prices include 18% vat. Full payment is due on booking. Full refunds are permitted up to 30 days prior to arrival date. This tour is subject to availability. For larger group sizes, please consult us. Terms and conditions apply.
